The director will provide expertise and leadership for all non-credit oil and gas training initiatives, operations, and special projects.
This will include overall responsibility for the Shale Training & Education Center (ShaleTEC) including development, implementation, and
control of all open enrollment training initiatives and client initiatives, both grant funded and client funded.
Minimum qualifications include Master's Degree in Engineering, Safety, Education, Workforce Development, or a related vocational discipline OR equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience that would qualify the individual to perform stated functions; three (3) years of relevant work experience in oil & natural gas, safety manufacturing or consulting environment in industrial technology; effective management, supervisory, and leadership skills; superior interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with staff, faculty, students, and the public; ability to anticipate operational difficulties and devise strategies for solution; good organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to deal with a student population with diverse cultural backgrounds and learning capabilities; ability to develop original solutions and targeted outcomes; ability to be responsive in a dynamic environment with emerging opportunities and to interact successfully as a team member; possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel; demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues; and knowledge of oil and gas exploration, production, safety and business operations.
